Anastasios Sextos (www.asextos.net) is a Reader (Associate Professor) of Earthquake Engineering at the University of Bristol, UK which he joined in 2014 after serving for 12 years at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki as a Lecturer, (tenure-track and tenured) Assistant Professor and Associate Professor. He is currently the founding Director of the new MSc Programme in Earthquake Engineering and Infrastructure Resilience at the University of Bristol, UK.
Anastasios obtained a 5-y diploma in Civil Engineering (1997, AUTh) graduating first in class, an MSc with distinction in Earthquake Engineering by Imperial College London (1998) and a Ph.D. in Multiple Support Seismic Excitation of Bridges (AUTh, 2001) accomplished in the minimum nominal time with distinction.
